ABOUT IMOYA

Stanley L. Covington, Jr.Born & raised on Long Island. (2nd home- Brooklyn, N.Y.)The son of Stanley & Marguerite Covington.
I grew up in a well rounded house with 4 beautiful sisters, (Ruth, Lillian, Sarah, & Grace) Besides my Dad & myself, it was a house full of woman. This allowed me at an early age to appreciate the art of Beauty. This has inspired me to tap into the most creative part of myself. Growing up, I never thought simple pleasures of a loving family would be my biggest muse. Although I have not ascertained formal training in the Arts. Ive discovered that practice really does make perfect. Quintesensionally bringing me to where I am today. Dedicated to my Mom & sis Lillian, who have passed on, The name Imoya are acronyms for; "In Memory Of You Always"
My Fasion collection "Imoya" is a reflection of what I consider to be some of my best Art. I would describe it as Old, Vintage, Hollywood meets Modern, Chic. The color blocking that I am most comfortable in using stems from my Art work. I love to accentuate a woman/man with avant guard fashion, keeping things simple but classic. By utilizing different fabrics, textures, & overall shapes, sets the tone & mood to a "Imoya" woman or man.
